Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, and a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in software quality engineering with a strong emphasis on test automation. They should have proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, REST Assured, Pytest, JUnit/TestNG, and a deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with API testing and automation tools like Postman and SoapUI is also required, alongside strong programming/scripting skills in languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.

Responsibilities

The Staff Quality Engineer I will act as the primary technical point of contact and mentor for the Quality Engineering team, leading the design, development, and implementation of scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks and strategies across various platforms. They will define and champion QE best practices and processes, evaluate and recommend new testing tools and methodologies, particularly focusing on agentic AI-powered solutions, and collaborate with development and product teams to integrate quality practices throughout the SDLC. This role involves hands-on quality engineering, including designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and security testing, analyzing complex application architectures, performing exploratory and end-to-end testing, identifying and tracking defects, and contributing to CI/CD pipeline integration. Furthermore, the role requires staying current with industry trends and advancements in software testing, and providing technical guidance and support to the QE team members.
