The Team

Jobber's mission is to empower home service providers to run, grow, and optimize their businesses. The team focuses on customer-centricity, integrating AI into their product for enhanced experiences and results. As part of the Product Development team on Growth and the wider Design Team, you will collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to attract, onboard, engage, and retain customers. Product Design at Jobber is decentralized, with designers working as leaders within cross-functional groups. The Growth Group is crucial for Jobber's success, focusing on software that delivers value to a large customer base.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Product Design, this role is pivotal in driving Jobber's growth. You will act as a design leader, collaborating with product managers to accelerate customer acquisition, deepen product adoption, and strengthen customer retention and expansion through innovative product experiences. Your work will directly impact the success of home service providers.

As a Staff Product Designer, you will transform conceptual ideas into meaningful user experiences, driving both UI & UX for key initiatives. You will collaborate with other designers on the Growth team, Content Design, and Design Systems members. You will play a leadership role in shaping the vision for Growth and ensuring high standards for new customer success through UX. This involves uncovering user and business problems and translating them into polished interfaces and exceptional experiences through customer research and validation.

Responsibilities

  • Be a senior design member of a product group, delivering creative solutions that drive new customer adoption across the product ecosystem.
  • Lead and contribute to UX strategy in close partnership with Product Owners across multiple teams.
  • Understand users through qualitative and quantitative research methods and influence stakeholders with findings.
  • Shape and build scalable design patterns through a design process that includes customer research.
