Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 3 years of experience in platform engineering or DevOps, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies. Experience with Kubernetes, Backstage, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Airflow, and Istio is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The Staff Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters, Backstage Scaffolders, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code using Terraform. They will also develop and maintain Airflow workflows for data pipeline orchestration, configure and manage Istio service mesh, collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, monitor and troubleshoot production systems, implement security best practices, and provide support and guidance to development teams on infrastructure-related matters, while documenting infrastructure configurations and processes.
