Requirements

The Staff IT Systems Engineer should have over 10 years of experience in IT Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering, with a proven track record of leading engineering practices and transforming compliance-driven environments. Deep expertise is required across Cloud Platforms, Cloud Service Providers, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), API management, and network engineering. A strong background in identity platforms such as Okta, Entra ID, or Google, and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi are essential.

Responsibilities

The Staff IT Systems Engineer will define and drive the long-term infrastructure vision for Identity, Endpoint Engineering, automation, API management, and iPaaS integration ecosystems, executing Oura’s Zero Trust strategy and establishing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards. This role involves designing secure and scalable systems, embedding DevOps principles, leading platform engineering strategy, modernizing infrastructure, and implementing AI-driven automation. The engineer will mentor teams, partner with IT management on OKRs and roadmaps, own the design and execution of strategic infrastructure programs like next-gen IAM and SOC 2-aligned infrastructure, and collaborate across functions to align strategy, mitigate risk, and ensure global compliance.
