Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in identity standards, security protocols, or federated authentication systems. Active participation in identity standards bodies like FIDO Alliance, IETF, W3C, or NIST is required, along with proven contributions to protocol development and specification writing. A strong technical understanding of FIDO2, WebAuthn, OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, and SCIM is essential, as is experience guiding developers in implementing standards-based authentication. Proficiency in at least one scripting or prototyping language (Python, JavaScript, Go preferred) and excellent communication and relationship-building skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Identity Standards Architect will represent Keeper Security in international standards organizations such as FIDO, W3C, IETF, and NIST, participating in working groups and contributing to protocol drafts. This role involves building relationships within the identity ecosystem, translating standards into technical guidance for developers, and partnering with engineering to ensure secure, standards-aligned implementations. Responsibilities include prototyping new protocol features, providing expertise on key identity protocols, aligning roadmaps with emerging standards, and presenting Keeper's vision at industry events. Travel for working group meetings and conferences is expected.
