Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Science, or equivalent experience. They require 7 to 12 years of experience in the software industry, with at least 4 years in security consultancy and security operations, along with management, deployment, and maintenance experience with ICT systems. A CISSP or related certification is advantageous, and a strong understanding of open-source penetration testing tools, hacker tactics, CI/CD, code quality metrics, and SSDLC is necessary. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to dive deep into architectural design, understand business flows, possess diligent problem-solving skills, and stay current on 0-day exploits.
The Staff Engineer will plan, identify, assess, design, operationalize, and manage multiple products’ security postures, recommending and driving cybersecurity solutions and initiatives. They will work independently within a multi-functional team to understand software architectures and core business workflows, lead team members effectively by providing security and technical mentorship, and respond to security violations, potential vulnerabilities, and alerts from detection systems. Furthermore, they will conduct security investigations, vulnerability assessments, and remediations, and communicate effectively with collaborators.
