Requirements

Candidates should possess a BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience as an engineer building full-stack web applications within a cross-functional team. The role requires 3+ years of experience working with SQL or other database querying languages on large multi-table datasets, 2+ years of experience acting as a trusted technical decision-maker, and 2+ years of experience coaching other engineers. Preferred qualifications include experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with orchestration tools like Airflow, architecting data pipelines using Python, Spark, or SQL, implementing automation for validation and testing, proficiency with large datasets and data storage technologies, experience with data ingestion systems and performance optimization, in-depth knowledge of database systems, and familiarity with database replication and sharding techniques.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will maintain, improve, and expand the company's web application and data pipelines, creating secure, maintainable, performant, correct, scalable, and stable solutions. Responsibilities include developing and implementing scalable and performant solutions, partnering with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders to develop technical roadmaps using Agile processes, and mentoring and coaching junior engineers through pull request reviews and providing constructive feedback.
