Requirements
- Education: BS in Accounting or Finance
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- Technical Skills:
- Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- PowerBI or Data Warehouse Reporting experience (preferred)
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently and in teams, collaborating in a multi-cultural environment
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities
- Preferred: Retail business background
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Perform variance analysis between actual results and budgeted/forecasted amounts.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze reports for internal reporting.
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules and post related monthly adjustments.
- Prepare and file various tax returns and regulatory forms.
- Prepare or assist with daily financial audits and reporting.
- Assist in daily cash flow forecasting.
- Process and analyze monthly rents for all store locations and record resulting lease transactions.
- Maintain accurate lease records.
- Facilitate the setup of new store locations by coordinating utility vendors, financial service providers, and internal processes.
- Support and assist in projects for departmental enhancements and improvements.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and support.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
