Requirements

  • Education: BS in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • PowerBI or Data Warehouse Reporting experience (preferred)
  • Soft Skills:
    • Ability to work independently and in teams, collaborating in a multi-cultural environment
    • Strong interpersonal communication abilities
  • Preferred: Retail business background

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Perform variance analysis between actual results and budgeted/forecasted amounts.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for financial transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze reports for internal reporting.
  • Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules and post related monthly adjustments.
  • Prepare and file various tax returns and regulatory forms.
  • Prepare or assist with daily financial audits and reporting.
  • Assist in daily cash flow forecasting.
  • Process and analyze monthly rents for all store locations and record resulting lease transactions.
  • Maintain accurate lease records.
  • Facilitate the setup of new store locations by coordinating utility vendors, financial service providers, and internal processes.
  • Support and assist in projects for departmental enhancements and improvements.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and support.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
