The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup or SaaS environment. Exceptional collaboration skills are required, alongside keen attention to detail, strong communication, analytical abilities, and solid business judgment. Familiarity with Netsuite and Salesforce is a plus, and a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and G Suite is preferred. Knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 is also desired.
As a Revenue Accountant, the role involves assisting with the creation and maintenance of customer records, sales orders, revenue recognition, and invoicing schedules within Netsuite, adhering to contract terms and ASC 606. Responsibilities include supporting invoicing, resolving billing disputes, applying cash receipts, maintaining and reviewing accounting receivable aging, and assisting with collections of invoices. The position also entails performing monthly close procedures, preparing journal entries, maintaining accounting schedules, reconciling bank accounts, and contributing to the implementation of internal controls. Additionally, the Revenue Accountant will support regulatory and compliance filings, assist with auditor requests, and contribute to streamlining accounting processes and creating best practices within the organization.
