Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or other applicable engineering field
Professional Engineer (PE) license
10+ years of experience in water resources engineering discipline
Experience as project engineer or project manager for wastewater, drinking water, and/or stormwater design projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work individually or as part of a team
Experience with project management and accounting software (helpful)

Responsibilities

Develop project designs in conformance with the latest design standards
Manage projects, including budgetary limitations and staffing
Stay current on available modeling software and utilize it to efficiently design facilities
Develop, read, and interpret schematic and construction plans
Manage the production of drawings in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Perform design quantity computations and checks for developing opinions of probable construction cost
Understand and work with surveying data provided from survey department
Apply a variety of specification regulations, policies, and standards to assure compliance with Federal, State, and local rules and regulations
Work with clients to pursue project funding through available funding agencies while following funding agency practices and policies
Perform business development activities to assist with the growth of the Water Resources service line
