Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, hold an Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state, and have 15+ years of relevant experience in water or wastewater system planning and design, including familiarity with funding, financing, and governance frameworks for Capital Improvement Programs. Willingness to travel to assess community infrastructure needs and multiple state licenses are preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer, the individual will lead multidisciplinary teams in providing technical assistance for the planning and design of drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects, independently assessing community needs and developing clear planning documents and technical reports. They will deliver preliminary and detailed project designs to secure funding, lead meetings with community stakeholders, support innovative technologies, evaluate project impacts, and mentor junior staff.
