Quality Engineer III

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, and have at least 8 years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on supplier development. Strong knowledge of quality systems, including ISO 9001, is required, along with experience in materials testing and failure analysis. Familiarity with medical device regulations and quality standards is preferred.
The Senior Supplier Development Quality Engineer will assess potential new suppliers, provide technical support for component introductions, generate and maintain incoming inspection procedures, train inspectors, develop inspection tools and equipment, assist in generating component specifications, generate test protocols, monitor testing, issue qualification test reports, and approve components for use in products. They will also analyze incoming material defects, communicate issues internally and with suppliers, review new design specifications, and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure component quality and manufacturability.
