Candidates should possess at least 7 years of experience in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, preferably designing and building medium to large-scale systems on Cloud platforms, and at least 3 years of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams. They should also have at least 3 years of experience working with AWS, experience building large-scale data services with FHIR/HL7 in healthcare, and experience with technologies including Angular (Typescript), Storybook, Apache server, Go, Java, Python, Spring Boot, OpenAPI, Fargate, Lambda, Jenkins, Github Actions, and big data technologies such as Apache Spark and Databricks. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate tenacity to dive into problems and iterate in working code, an adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, technical and strategic thinking capabilities.
The Senior Software Engineer will lead a team of 6 engineers, collaborating with fellow Nava engineers to design, review, and build well-crafted software, working with government partners and other contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements to existing systems, and participating in an agile manner to efficiently ship new features that meet user needs. They will create tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows, write and review technical documentation, perform code reviews, and participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems and investigate issues when they occur. Additionally, they will take part in hiring activities and contribute to the modernization of an existing legacy enterprise platform to improve its public-facing processes and user experiences.
