Requirements

Candidates should possess 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, building and maintaining scalable, production-ready systems, with full-stack expertise including React, state management, and performance optimization, along with strong backend experience in TypeScript and Node.js and familiarity with microservices and/or event-based architectures. Furthermore, applicants should have proven ability to lead complex technical projects across teams, owning the full development lifecycle, and excellent collaboration and communication skills aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the design and development of high-impact, full-stack systems, define the team’s technical direction, collaborate with product and engineering partners to guide architectural decisions, ensure systems are reliable, secure, and scalable, mentor engineers, review system architectures, and define scalable design patterns, and influence the technical roadmap and contribute to Rula’s broader engineering culture.
