Full Stack JavaScript Software Engineer

Position Overview

ClickHouse is seeking exceptional Full Stack JavaScript Software Engineers to join our Control Plane engineering teams. These teams are responsible for building the billing platform for ClickHouse Cloud, the SQL Console for the ClickHouse interface, and all internal and external ClickHouse UI dashboards. This is an ideal time to join and make a significant impact, working on a variety of technologies across frontend and backend, while integrating with various external systems. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure the best customer experience, prioritizing reliability, scalability, privacy, security, and observability, with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.

About the Team

Our Control Plane engineering teams are building critical components of ClickHouse Cloud, including the billing platform, SQL Console, and UI dashboards. We are looking for talented full-stack JavaScript engineers who can contribute to both frontend and backend development, integrating with diverse external systems.

Responsibilities

• Build ClickHouse Cloud interfaces, dashboards, and consoles.
• Design and build mission-critical processes that are essential for operations.
• Create with purpose, providing clear rationale for technical decisions to effectively present solutions to peers and stakeholders.
• Deliver secure, efficient, mature, and highly available frameworks and platforms that abstract away infrastructure complexity.
• Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to define business strategies, user needs, and optimal solutions.
• Integrate with a variety of systems, including Billing, Metering, Logging, Monitoring, and Support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building front-end systems running on the cloud.
• Full Stack coding experience with React, TypeScript, Serverless, and Node.js (proficiency in multiple languages is encouraged).
• Experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple experienced engineers.
• Proven experience as a full-cycle developer with strong ownership of code quality.
• Experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the full software life cycle.
• Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their Infrastructure as a Service offerings.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within and across engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and solid production debugging skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and act as a business partner with a shared goal of driving business forward.
• High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.

Compensation

Salary Ranges (USD):

• New York Area / San Francisco Area: $157,000 - $232,000
• General US Remote: $133,450 - $197,200
• Los Angeles, CA / Washington, DC: $141,300 - $208,800

Note: Compensation positioning within these ranges depends on various factors including candidate experience, qualifications, skills, business requirements, and geographical location.
