Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years applicable work experience
  • Experience with automated production equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, lubrication, electrical systems, industrial automation, and controls technology
  • Strong mechanical skills including the ability to perform mechanical disassembly, repairs, and reassembly of complicated equipment
  • Knowledge of industrial control wiring systems
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with equipment operators
  • Interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Welding/Machining/Fabrication proficiency
  • Able to lift 40-50 lbs. without assistance
  • Able to stand for up to 6 hours at a time, up to 12 hours a day, with frequent squatting, stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting at waist, and climbing ladders
  • Possess the abilities to perform the physical requirements of the assigned job as identified by the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards and cleanroom protocols (no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc.)
  • Ability to work in environmental conditions including loud noises, some degree of PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), and with hazardous/toxic materials
  • Training and experience with safety programs such as lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space, and elevated work (preferred)
  • Powered industrial equipment operation training (preferred)
  • Proficient in electrical, electronics and controls technologies (preferred)
  • Process automation control troubleshooting experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Make repairs or adjustments as instructed by a work order or verbal request by management on all production process equipment and anything supporting production
  • Fabricate minor replacement/repair parts as needed within maintenance machining/welding shop
  • Assist in analyzing and correcting problems encountered during Maintenance work to ensure work is performed according to SOP’s
  • Daily communications with Maintenance Team Lead regarding shift-to-shift transfer information for downtime or any significant information
  • Connect with supervisor/engineering regarding equipment condition and provide recommendations for improved reliability plan
