Candidates must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a security clearance and possess a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, with a Master's degree counting as two years of experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in program management for large-scale engineering/manufacturing programs is required, along with the ability to travel 10-15% and strong leadership, communication, and financial/business acumen. Daily presence in the Palo Alto, CA office is also necessary. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or higher in Physics, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent, a current TS/SCI clearance, satellite program expertise, experience with USG proposal development and program execution, and knowledge of commercial space architectures and missions.
The Senior Manager of Program Management will lead or assist all aspects of assigned satellite programs, serving as the single point accountable person for large proposal efforts and managing program performance from post-award through completion. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and controlling program activities to achieve objectives and customer requirements, partnering with Business Development for pursuits, managing technical and contractual requirements, and acting as the primary customer focal point. The role also involves managing core team personnel, program reserves, risk assessments, and coordinating decisions with subsystem organizations, while conducting reviews and providing program information to executive management.
