  • Ability to manage monthly payroll forecast files and provide management information like gross-to-net and reconciliation reporting

  • Experience managing third-party relationships (banks, payroll vendors, T&A vendors) and liaising with payroll software providers for testing and upgrades
  • Leadership skills in managing staff: organizing work, instructions, time/absences, conflicts, guidance, sanctions
  • Knowledge of disseminating and applying internal rules, policies, regulations, ethics, health/safety, procedures
  • Experience in recruitment, development interviews, leading working groups, career/salary development

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate, and assign work duties to team of payroll specialists for core processing activities (employee file maintenance, audit reports, special/off-cycle payments)
  • Ensure completion of payroll reconciliations with justified differences
  • Ensure compliance of each payroll stage with legislative and internal procedures
  • Check and validate monthly payroll and social security declarations per regulatory changes
  • Oversee production, management, and distribution of payslips
  • Ensure deadlines are met for accurate and timely payrolls
  • Work with business management for timely and accurate paperwork/time data
  • Ensure correct execution of payroll interfaces with other departments and remedy errors
  • Conduct training sessions for team on payroll, workforce management, and key applications
  • Develop, document, implement, and comply with internal controls
  • Liaise with internal/external auditors to meet statutory audit duties
  • Assist in responding to internal/external audit reviews
  • Ensure SOPs are fully developed, updated, and team is trained/refreshed on changes
  • Ensure team follows established policies and procedures
  • Ensure timely response and closure of employee payroll inquiries/cases
  • Align SLAs with global standards
  • Identify trends in tier-2 support cases and collaborate with ESC for tier-1 handling
  • Implement and track SLAs and key performance metrics for continuous improvement
  • Manage monthly payroll forecast files and provide required stakeholder information
  • Provide management information (gross-to-net, reconciliation reporting)
  • Ensure business continuity plans for absences, emergencies to minimize payroll impacts
  • Collaborate with HR/Finance managers/leadership for seamless transactional services
  • Provide insights/recommendations on upcoming payroll legislation changes
  • Manage third-party provider relationships (banks, payroll/T&A vendors)
  • Liaise with payroll software provider for testing/installation of upgrades
