Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field AND 7+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably across U.S. and Canadian payrolls (OR equivalent combination of education)
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state/provincial payroll tax regulations
  • Experience with payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong customer service focus with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and partner with key stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent designation is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees (~800 employees), ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll on a semi-monthly basis
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Own payroll issue resolution, effectively collaborating and communicating with internal and external partners
  • Partner with People Operations, Benefits, and external vendors to ensure accurate benefit deductions and payroll-related transactions
  • Act as a subject matter expert and resource for payroll best practices, laws, and system capabilities, continually looking for opportunities to standardize and scale payroll processes and procedures
  • Assist with year-end activities, including W-2s, T4s, tax filings, and audits
  • Mentor and guide Payroll Administrator
