Requirements

  • Serve as part of the Early Career Talent (ECT) leadership team
  • Partner with executives, HR leadership team, and hiring leaders
  • Lead four key pillars: Programs, Partnerships, Events, and Strategy, Solutions & Operations Enablement
  • Oversee a global team of program managers

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and execute customized strategies to attract and retain best-in-class early career talent globally
  • Oversee programs for interns, new college graduates, rotational programs, apprenticeships, and workforce of the future initiatives in a hybrid approach
  • Develop programs as recruitment tools through alternative channels (e.g., military, community colleges, bootcamps)
  • Partner and support research-based programs including PhD programs
  • Own strategic planning for external and internal partnerships globally; ensure local resources and business have tools and training for execution
  • Establish and maintain core university partnerships to position Western Digital as employer of choice; continuously evaluate partnerships
  • Partner with CTO Office for R&D to align strategic core partnerships with critical research partners for talent pipeline needs
  • Explore and position alternative talent channels for workforce of the future initiatives and alternative entry methods
  • Partner internally to provide training and resources for business on recruitment, retention, and engagement; collaborate with ERGs for long-term retention
  • Evaluate and manage Event Relations specialists for global recruitment events; provide resources, tools, collateral, and strategy
  • Partner with marketing, facilities, or external vendors to manage Western Digital brand at events and pipeline talent to recruiting team
  • Oversee strategy, solutions & operations enablement team focused on project management, workforce planning, process improvement, and resources
