Requirements

Candidates should have over 10 years of combined experience as an SDET or Backend Developer, with at least 3 years specifically building testing frameworks and tooling for Cloud SaaS products. A strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems, is essential. Expertise in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript/TypeScript is required. A deep understanding of cloud architectures, microservices, web services (REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers), data storage systems (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis), and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is necessary. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud testing environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) along with strong debugging skills are also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Engineer - Cloud SDET will design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for complex distributed systems involving cloud services and endpoint agent software. They will develop comprehensive test strategies for security-critical features, focusing on reliability, accuracy, and performance at scale. The role involves reviewing engineering technical designs with a focus on testability, security implications, and potential edge cases, as well as creating and maintaining cloud-based test infrastructure. Responsibilities include building tools and frameworks for testing complex agent-cloud interactions, data processing pipelines, and API integrations, driving root cause analysis for production issues, and implementing automated tests to prevent regression. Additionally, the engineer will mentor team members on test automation best practices and security-conscious testing approaches.
