About the Role

CrowdStrike is looking for a Senior SDET to join our growing cloud team. We seek intelligent individuals who are eager for challenges and ownership of their work, thriving in an environment where quality is a core company culture. You will utilize cutting-edge and proven technologies to verify key features and functionality across our processing, data, and customer-facing application layers, ensuring support for millions of events per second, terabytes of data, and accurate customer information delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Verify component, system integration, and application-level features and functionality to ensure our reliability, accuracy, and performance meet quality standards.
  • Review engineering technical design documents and requirements, providing plans and strategies for building in testability.
  • Increase and improve our automated test coverage.
  • Contribute to existing tools, frameworks, and related solutions.
  • Leverage new open-source solutions to build new tools for innovative testing approaches.
  • Improve delivered product quality across our entire platform and applications.
  • Collaborate on determining the root cause of production outages and implementing quality improvements to prevent future occurrences.
  • Create and maintain test infrastructure, including building frameworks and packages required for automation implementation.

What You'll Need

  • A computer science background or equivalent experience (understanding of programming styles, data structures, algorithms, etc.).
  • Experience with any/all of the following: Go, Python, Scala, Java, C++, JavaScript.
  • Proficiency with:
    • Networking: Protocols, distributed systems, layered architectures.
    • Web Services: JSON, REST, RPC, XML, AWS EC2 & S3.
    • Data Storage: RDBMS, NoSQL, and Caching Technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, SQLServer, Redis, and/or MemCache.
  • Strong debugging skills: ability to identify design flaws, race conditions, and performance bottlenecks in complex architectures.
  • Experience with application, OS, web browser, or hardware compatibility testing.
  • Understanding of computer and/or network security.

Bonus Points

  • Authored and led successful open-source libraries and projects.
  • Contributions to the open-source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging).
  • Existing exposure to Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch, GRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
  • Experience with Pigeon Test Automation Framework.
