Eligibility for a state license as a physical or occupational therapist is also necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is expected.
The Sr Clinical Consultant - Wheelchair DME will provide clinical expertise and business direction for medical management programs, focusing on quality care and payment policy. Responsibilities include supporting the appeal process, clinical claim review, pre-certification, and predetermination of benefits across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid environments. The role involves participating in workgroups to improve healthcare services, applying clinical coding and reimbursement expertise to ensure policy alignment, and using data analysis for quality improvement initiatives. The consultant will act as a subject matter expert and internal consultant, contributing to payment policy, and collaborating with diverse teams to manage business objectives.
