Requirements

Candidates must possess an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) or Seating Mobility Specialist (SMS) certification from RESNA. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 7-10 years of clinical practice experience, and one or more years of health plan/payor experience are required. Eligibility for a state license as a physical or occupational therapist is also necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is expected.

Responsibilities include supporting the appeal process, clinical claim review, pre-certification, and predetermination of benefits across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid environments. The consultant will act as a subject matter expert and internal consultant, contributing to payment policy, and collaborating with diverse teams to manage business objectives.
