Requirements

Candidates should have 6-10+ years of backend software development experience with a SaaS delivery model and 4+ years of recent experience building event-driven, microservices-oriented architectures. Proficiency in backend languages like Go, Scala, Java, Kotlin, or Node.js is required, along with proven expertise in building distributed systems, microservices, and REST APIs. Production experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and developing applications using SQL and NoSQL databases is also necessary. A BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required. Experience building event-based platforms at scale and a passion for performance, reliability, and scalability of distributed systems are essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Software Engineer will design and build highly scalable and resilient distributed services and systems, working with technologies such as Apache Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Redis. They will collaborate on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects, troubleshoot critical production issues, and implement solutions.
