Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience building/fabricating wire harnesses or cable assemblies, or other testing, integration, or mechanical assembly experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience reviewing technical designs and working from drawings, schematics, layouts, assembly/procedures, master parts lists, and other controlled documentation
  • One or more of the following certifications: IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC J-STD-001, NASA-STD-8739.4
  • Ability to proficiently use a PC/Mac, Google Suite, manufacturing execution systems, JIRA, or equivalent tools
  • Ability to lift 25-pound boxes to a height of 3-4 feet, with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Build, operate, integrate, test, diagnose, inspect, and maintain highly reliable systems, including wire harnesses, cable assemblies, avionics assemblies, and circuit card assemblies
  • Read, interpret, and work from drawings, controlled documentation, and processes such as drawings, layouts, assembly procedures/work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, and master parts lists
  • Develop and improve manufacturing and installation instructions
  • Assure product and process quality by testing finished-product and process capabilities
  • Resolve product non-conformances and collaborate with the quality team to implement corrective actions
  • Record work performed in a clear, precise, and complete manner
  • Assist with the development of production and improvement processes
