Position Overview

  • Salary: $50,000 - $60,000/year (plus annual bonus)

The QA Engineer II will be responsible for identifying bugs, defects, and regressions in software. This role involves designing, implementing, executing, and debugging test cases and/or automated test scripts. The QA Engineer II will validate and document the completion of testing and development, maintain a positive and professional attitude, verify fixes, and help ensure successful releases by planning and executing test activities for exploratory and regression testing.

Requirements

  • Strong diagnostic skills for software testing and quality measurement.
  • Technical background to create effective testing scenarios from functional requirements and detailed specifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and writing SQL queries.
  • Experience with QA testing on ERP type applications/systems.
  • Familiarity with administrative software for higher education is a plus.
  • Experience with automated testing tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide feedback.
  • Develop testing plans and scenarios based on functional requirements and technical specifications.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities within a cross-functional development team.
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases and/or automation scripts.
  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs.
  • Perform regular regression, exploratory, and system testing.
  • Monitor and maintain bug backlogs for accuracy.
  • Demonstrate a proficient understanding of Jenzabar's products or technologies.
