Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Ability to learn basic techniques and methods used to manufacture probe-based diagnostic products, including operations such as solution prep, chemical dispensing, DNA extractions, and DNA formulation
  • Master's performance of these operations in a timely manner
  • Some familiarity with use of electronic systems and databases used for resource planning, inventory management, and document control

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine lab operations and basic manufacturing operations
  • May assist in performing more complex operations
  • Performs basic electronic transactions associated with systems used for inventory management and document control
  • Works under direct supervision to make decisions that impact quality, productivity, and cost
  • Documents work activities, maintains inventory records, and assists with conducting inventory verification checks as needed
  • Works closely with supervisor to complete assigned work orders in a manner that achieves overall schedule requirements
  • Documents activities in an accurate, timely, and complete manner
  • Maintains accurate inventory records and processes all related ERP transactions in a timely manner
  • Performs assigned activities in a manner that contributes to the achievement of team productivity and financial goals
  • Works with supervisor to resolve basic issues that arise during day-to-day operations
  • Works safely and in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures
  • Understands job training requirements and ensures that training is conducted on time
