This role is for a Parts Catalog Specialist responsible for developing, governing, and maintaining accurate, structured, and version-controlled product and spare parts catalogs across multiple customers and sites. The position is critical for ensuring data integrity within SAP and PLM systems, supporting scalability, operational uptime, and effective reverse logistics. The specialist will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, technical support, and operations to align catalogs with product configurations, BOMs, and service requirements.

About the Spare Parts Team

The Spare Parts team ensures the timely delivery of correct replacement parts to support customer site operations and the broader supply chain. They focus on driving operational excellence, quality, system reliability, and performance through collaboration with onsite customers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain master and customer-specific parts catalogs.
  • Align content with Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering changes, and field-serviceable assemblies.
  • Manage monthly catalog releases and associated change communication.
  • Partner with engineering, planners, and buyers to reflect current design and sourcing data.
  • Collaborate with field service teams on repair, refurb, and preventative maintenance (PM) kits.
  • Ensure material master data in SAP aligns with catalog structure and naming conventions.
  • Govern attributes, supersessions, descriptions, and classification of parts.
  • Perform audits to identify duplicates, unit of measure (UoM) discrepancies, and incomplete entries.
  • Manage as-installed / as-maintained BOMs by site.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers on critical spare part strategies and inventory planning.
  • Utilize SAP (S4/Hana), Teamcenter, Jira, Excel, Power Automate, and Power BI/Tableau for catalog workflows and reporting.
  • Maintain customer-facing documentation and technical catalog references.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product data management, cataloging, or SAP material master governance.
  • Proficient with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, with Teamcenter experience being preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Power BI/Tableau and Jira is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, discipline in change control, and cross-functional communication skills.

  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
  • Employees must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • Employees are responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally for reimbursement.
