As a Sales Engineer at Acronis, you will collaborate closely with the Sales Team to execute pre- and post-sales activities, driving Cloud and On-Premise business within Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region. Your role will be crucial in promoting the adoption of Acronis' products and solutions by effectively communicating their strengths, understanding customer requirements, and matching solutions to achieve successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver presentations on Acronis' technology and solutions to customers, partners, and public audiences.
  • Facilitate and manage customer evaluations and proof-of-concept (PoC) activities for Acronis' solutions.
  • Position compelling solutions that address customer business problems, going beyond specific technical requirements, and serving as a technical advisor.
  • Produce written proposals and technical responses to RFIs and RFPs.
  • Conduct hands-on demonstrations and knowledge transfer of Acronis' solutions to customers, channel partners, and cloud partners.
  • Perform remote and on-site PoCs of Acronis solutions.
  • Provide technical support to existing channel and cloud partners.
  • Develop customer solution proposals and supporting documentation for review by customers and Acronis management.
  • Provide customer and market insights to Product Management, Engineering, Customer Service, and other relevant Acronis departments.
  • Maintain knowledge of major industry developments and address customer inquiries on these matters.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience as a PreSales/Sales Engineer or in a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience supporting internal sales, partners, and the customer ecosystem with solutions related to:
    • IT Security software and/or hardware
    • Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Storage solutions
    • OT environments
    • Service Provider focused solutions
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Good understanding of IT storage software and computing architectures, including networks, operating systems, and applications.
    • Good understanding of software and hardware specifics in Industrial Automation environments.
    • Proficient working knowledge of Virtualization and Cloud technologies.
    • Knowledge of the IT security industry (Endpoint Security, Email Security, Data Loss Prevention), including the ability to evaluate competitive product strengths and weaknesses.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
    • Knowledge of SaaS and IaaS based technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365 and Azure, Google G Suite, Amazon AWS).
    • Knowledge of Databases such as SQL, Oracle, MySQL.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft applications: Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint.
  • Ability to translate customer business requirements into technical solutions that deliver tangible business benefits.
