Requirements

Candidates should have 6+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting within data operations, analytics, or BI. Proven hands-on experience with SQL, ETL, and data modeling is required, along with a strong understanding of modern data stacks and cloud data warehousing. Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences and adaptability in fast-paced environments are essential. Prior experience with dbt, analytics, ETL, BI, or open-source software, along with data modeling methods and data warehousing tools like Snowflake or Databricks, will make candidates stand out.

Responsibilities

The Solutions Architect will design enterprise-scale data architectures using dbt Cloud and partner with Sales to demonstrate the technical value of dbt Labs solutions. They will lead proof-of-concept engagements and technical evaluations, work with engineering to deploy dbt Cloud in private clouds, and manage the customer lifecycle from pre-sales through adoption. Responsibilities also include collaborating with Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap, enabling strategic partners, and engaging in the dbt Community to contribute to thought leadership.
