Candidates should possess a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role with customers, demonstrating the ability to accurately understand customer needs and propose project execution plans. They should have a strong understanding of the complete data analysis stack, including ETL, data platforms, BI, and analytics tools, along with extensive experience in SQL and SQL analytics. Candidates must have significant knowledge and experience with large database technologies such as Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, and Greenplum, and experience with scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Perl, and Bash. Furthermore, they should be able to work directly with customers on-site and travel as needed.
The Solutions Architect will serve as a technical expert across all aspects of Snowflake, assisting customers in understanding and expanding their use of the platform through knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices. They will demonstrate Snowflake's best practices through hands-on work with customers, providing guidance on solutions to customer-specific technical challenges, and collaborating with system integrators to successfully position Snowflake within customer environments. This role involves working with product management, engineering, and marketing to continuously improve Snowflake's products and marketing efforts, and will provide support to other members of the professional services team in developing their expertise. They will also leverage their understanding of competitive technologies and vendors to position Snowflake effectively, and may be involved in data migration projects and designing/implementing AI/ML within data analysis platforms.
