5+ years of strong experience in development with COBOL, VSAM, IBM tools, DB2
Experience developing Life Insurance products is mandatory

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Live within commutable distance (50 miles maximum) from DXC office: 100 Centerview Drive, Suite 100, Nashville, TN 37214-3439 (hybrid role, 2 days onsite)
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Strong programming and debugging skills
Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies (Scrum/Waterfall ideal)

Responsibilities

Develop, code, customize, perform product development, bug fixing, and develop code using languages like JCL, COBOL on Vantage-One products
Provide technical expertise and support to team efforts, acting as a subject matter expert in specific domains
Assist in solving complex technical challenges, researching and proposing solutions
Debug and troubleshoot production issues, working closely with operations and support teams
Contribute to the assessment and adoption of new technologies and best practices
Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and knowledge sharing
