Requirements

  • Experience in Vantage-One/wmA is mandatory
  • 5+ years of strong experience in development with COBOL, VSAM, IBM tools, DB2
  • Experience developing Life Insurance products is mandatory
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in the insurance industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in Vantage/WMA
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Live within commutable distance (50 miles maximum) from DXC office: 100 Centerview Drive, Suite 100, Nashville, TN 37214-3439 (hybrid role, 2 days onsite)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Strong programming and debugging skills
  • Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies (Scrum/Waterfall ideal)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good team collaboration and communication abilities
  • Willingness to take ownership of complex technical challenges

Responsibilities

  • Develop, code, customize, perform product development, bug fixing, and develop code using languages like JCL, COBOL on Vantage-One products
  • Provide technical expertise and support to team efforts, acting as a subject matter expert in specific domains
  • Assist in solving complex technical challenges, researching and proposing solutions
  • Debug and troubleshoot production issues, working closely with operations and support teams
  • Contribute to the assessment and adoption of new technologies and best practices
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and knowledge sharing
