Principal Machine Learning Engineer- Perception
Motional- Full Time
- Junior (1 to 2 years)
Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience in software development, focusing on computer vision, machine learning, and robotic perception techniques. They should have a foundational understanding of deep learning, including model layer design, loss function intuition, and training best practices. Strong proficiency in modern C++ and Python, along with experience writing efficient algorithms for resource-constrained embedded systems, is required.
The Software Engineer, Perception will apply machine learning to solve challenging perception problems for autonomous systems, such as object detection, semantic segmentation, and instance segmentation. They will drive the architecture, deployment, and performance characterization of deep learning models, refine and optimize models for low-latency inference on embedded hardware, and design and build cloud-based training and labeling pipelines. Furthermore, they will collaborate with hardware and embedded teams on sensor selection and vehicle packaging, while also writing performant, well-tested software and improving code quality through code and design reviews.
Autonomous AI solution for efficient farming
Agtonomy focuses on improving farming through technology with its product, TeleFarmer. TeleFarmer is an autonomous device that helps farmers perform various labor-intensive tasks, even in difficult terrains, which lessens their physical workload. Accompanying the device is an app that enables farmers to plan tasks, assign them, monitor progress, and review performance reports easily. This combination of hardware and software allows for more efficient management of agricultural fields. Unlike many competitors, Agtonomy offers a trial of their solution, allowing potential customers to experience its benefits before committing to a purchase. The company's goal is to enhance farming efficiency and profitability, making it easier for farmers to manage their operations.
