Requirements

Candidates should possess strong programming skills in Python (Go is a plus), with a solid understanding of software design principles, experience working with network observability tools such as Kentik, NSG, and Grafana, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks like Ansible, GitLab CI, and Jenkins, a solid understanding of Linux, Bash scripting, and source control (Git), and experience building internal tools or APIs to support infrastructure teams. Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including BGP and NetFlow, is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer – Infrastructure Automation will design and implement automation workflows to eliminate manual tasks in network operations, develop tooling and scripts to improve telemetry visibility and monitoring coverage, collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop low-level designs, and ship robust, testable features, perform root cause analysis and debugging of network automation tooling, support feature enhancements and maintenance of automation systems used in production workflows, and integrate with network data sources and telemetry APIs to support observability pipelines.
