Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or a related field, with over 4 years of experience in building large-scale, distributed web platforms/APIs, taking end-to-end product scope responsibility across multiple domains. Required technical skills include server-side development with Java, proficiency in the Spring framework, object-oriented design, design patterns, RESTful services, agile development methodologies, multi-threading development, and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, Hadoop, Hive, and HDFS. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills, with an ability to adapt to changing business priorities and thrive under pressure.

Responsibilities

The Software Development Engineer will craft sound API designs and drive integration between data layers and customer-facing applications. Responsibilities include designing and running A/B tests in production to measure the impact of new functionality, contributing to the development of complex, multi-tier distributed software applications, and designing layered applications encompassing user interface, business functionality, and database access. The engineer will collaborate with other developers and quality engineers to create innovative solutions, estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and roll out system changes. They will also participate in the continuous improvement of payment products for better quality and engage in requirement/design meetings with other PD/QE teams.
