The Social Media Specialist will shape and execute digital communications strategies for Wikimedia Foundation and Wikipedia social media channels, creating daily and campaign-specific content. Responsibilities include overseeing a content calendar, collaborating on digital campaigns to increase global awareness, monitoring and maintaining social media channels, engaging with followers, identifying strategic opportunities, supporting staff as online thought leaders, creating training materials for community groups, sharing metrics and data to inform strategy, supporting paid social media promotions, assisting with rapid response and crisis management, and managing the relationship with the social media agency.
