Account Manager - Small Medium Business Team

Position Overview

eBay is a global e-commerce leader that empowers millions of buyers and sellers worldwide. We are seeking a dynamic Account Manager to join our Small Medium Business team. In this consultative, client-facing role, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of B2C sellers, helping them grow and thrive on our platform. Your mission is to build strong relationships, provide strategic business support, and drive overall account success through a 12-month engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of B2C seller accounts, acting as their trusted advisor throughout a year-long engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business models, goals, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute personalized account plans to help sellers improve performance and reach key milestones.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and strategic check-ins to monitor progress and identify growth areas.
  • Support sellers via email, phone, and virtual meetings, addressing questions and providing insights and guidance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to onboard new clients, solve challenges, and deliver a seamless seller experience.
  • Track and analyze account metrics to ensure performance targets are being met, and share findings with stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on eBay marketplace trends and advocate for your clients’ needs within the organization.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of experience in account management, client services, customer success, or a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative and strategic mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for delivering measurable results.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM systems and productivity tools (e.g., Salesforce, Excel, etc.).
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience in eCommerce, marketplace platforms, or B2C sales is a plus.

Educational Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $58,700 - $72,100
    • Base pay offered may vary based on individual factors like location, skills, and experience.
    • Total compensation may include a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable).
    • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, financial, and other benefits (e.g., 401(k) eligibility, PTO, parental leave).
