Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or combination of education and experience; Military Service/Training may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 1-2 years of experience in managed services or laboratory setting preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in a supervisory and customer-facing role required
  • Experience working in Good x Practice (GxP) environment preferred
  • IATA and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Goods certification preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements preferred
  • Leadership and supervisory abilities and interpersonal skills to lead, coach, and enhance team culture
  • Basic understanding of employment/labor law regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional appearance and demeanor; uphold confidentiality and company values
  • Computer proficiency with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite
  • Basic chemical knowledge including chemical handling and calculation of Mol
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
  • Ability to stand for full shift

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily supervision of small team of customer site-based personnel to deliver high levels of customer service
  • Oversee service offerings: order/stockroom/dock management, procurement, material handling, chemical tracking, glass wash, media/reagent preparation, and cell culture support operations
  • Manage complete employee lifecycle: new hire selection, identify training needs and solutions, coordinate development training, and conduct employee performance evaluations
  • Deliver on committed contractual scope of work; develop, track, and trend business metrics
  • Collaborate with Program/Regional Manager for customer performance reviews
  • Act as liaison between customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific; coordinate onsite vendor escorting and customer visits
  • Write and implement SOPs, conduct site audits, ensure completion of annual physical inventory
  • Define new opportunities by seeking expansion of services; provide capability review presentations; act as resource for sales team and customer to identify savings and opportunities
  • Drive process improvement culture by supporting Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives
  • Support safety programs: hazard identification, conduct inspections, incident reporting/investigations; communicate and hold staff accountable to safety expectations
  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific professionally and positively at customer locations
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management
