Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess an Engineering degree, preferably in civil or mechanical engineering, and demonstrate experience as a Site Engineer. A strong understanding of tunnelling operations, slurry TBM technology, and relevant safety regulations is essential, along with the ability to interpret data from VMT systems and analyze tailskin measurements.

Responsibilities

As a Shift Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for monitoring grout pressures, quantities, and flow rates during the regrip process, adjusting parameters as needed, and completing tailskin measurements to select ring orientations. They will track ring numbers and quality, analyze data for defects, scan segments, monitor tailskin grease quantities, conduct quality testing on grout operations, and monitor TBM advance parameters for ground conditions. The role also involves coordinating with operators, completing downtime analyses, conducting audits on TBM logistics, and overseeing safety, procurement, and commercial reviews of suppliers and sub-contractors, while implementing continuous improvements to tunnel plant and equipment.
