Field Engineer (Government)

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field, along with active security clearance required. They should have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, Linux operating systems, and real-time communication protocols and serial bus messaging. Experience with complex problem-solving and working under pressure is also essential.
The Field Engineer will provide leadership and direction for the delivery of Shift5’s products in complex customer environments, understand the technology stack and successfully deploy it for proof of concept and production installations, steer customers to successful business outcomes, and foster and manage relationships with senior executive stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
Observability platform for operational technology
Shift5 offers an observability platform that focuses on cybersecurity and data analytics for operational technology (OT) in defense and transportation sectors. The platform collects and analyzes data from onboard systems, such as buses and weapon systems, and is protocol-agnostic, allowing it to adapt to various data communication protocols.
