Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in electrical controls or related fields
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as contribute on team projects
  • Knowledge of computers, remote interfaces, and networking (familiarity with Linux is a plus)
  • Applies knowledge of electronics, electrical circuits, mechanics, RF and programming
  • Previous experience with database entry and passionate attention to detail
  • Previous military, RF communications, and SCADA Systems experience are a plus
  • Knowledge of RF communication, electrical wiring, computer use and interface, exposure to network systems, use of job-related test equipment and software applications, strong customer centricity, cybersecurity best practices, telephone support, and problem identification/resolution
  • Knowledge in PLC control systems and control logic is a plus
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to work indoors/outdoors; may be exposed to heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
  • Some travel may be required for on-call support within southeastern US (Florida)

Responsibilities

  • Performs remote and onsite troubleshooting techniques and analysis of DFS equipment and systems
  • Routinely tests software in lab to duplicate failures and present findings to development
