Field Applications Engineer - AI Datacenter Specialist

Position Overview

NVIDIA is seeking an outstanding Field Applications Engineer (FAE) with a focus on datacenter system and network design for AI computing. This role is for a specialist in system design, networking, and a leader to our customers who believe that artificial intelligence is a new computing revolution with the potential to transform the industry. Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI solutions.
• Solve complex hardware and deployment issues.
• Act as a technical specialist on GPU and networking products, directly supporting sales account managers and working closely with the team to deliver outstanding AI datacenter solutions.
• Actively establish technical relationships with our customers' engineers, management, and architects at focus accounts.
• Identify customer architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI market.
• Provide technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners.
• Establish strong relationships and communication channels with internal teams.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry in a system design role or technical customer support role.
• In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other data center hardware.
• Capable of working in a constantly evolving environment without losing focus.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a multifaceted environment.
• Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology and products into very sophisticated projects.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineering.

Ways to Stand Out

• Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, Switches, etc.).
• Embedded Linux System, APIs, and similar embedded OS knowledge.
• Experience working with OEMs in the industrial, military, and ruggedized computing space.
• Knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems for thermal management, power distribution, cabling, and rack layout, as well as CPU Architecture knowledge.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $132,000 - $253,000 USD. The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
• You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
