Responsibilities

  • Responsible for winning business within a geographic area by selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects
  • Executes standard sales tasks, typically subject to instructions and work routines, with latitude to rearrange sequence based on changing work situations
  • May be responsible for targeted clients, stable regions, and/or small/medium sales territories
  • Broadens knowledge of own sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups to execute policy/strategy
  • Acquires higher level knowledge and skills with a basic understanding of key business drivers to accomplish own work
  • Understands how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area
  • Makes decisions with some autonomy within a defined framework and resolves issues requiring commercial knowledge and judgment within established procedures (consults senior team members for issues outside defined instructions/parameters)
  • Communicates with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered
  • Develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE
  • Explains technical information to others
