Requirements

  • Live in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area
  • 12+ years of experience in Corporate PR, with previous agency experience required
  • History of success in providing sound creative and strategic counsel to clients and building credibility with senior-level client contacts
  • Collaborative spirit, results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively, and holistically about client programs
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, including developing and delivering client presentations and new business pitches
  • In-depth knowledge of reputation management and solid working knowledge of traditional and non-traditional media
  • Current track record of success in building relationships with national business media and driving results for clients
  • Strong background in corporate communications and solid corporate media relations contacts
  • Proven leadership experience, including mentoring and developing junior talent

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic, visionary plans for clients and communicate them compellingly with supporting recommendations and substantive logic
  • Partner with client’s internal media team to build media relations strategies, including non-traditional outlets, and conduct outreach for programs/projects as needed
  • Understand key client industry issues relating to products, product categories, technologies, primary and potential competition, and general industry issues
  • Grow business prospects with existing clients; expand scope of work using network capabilities; lead new business outreach process and win business
  • Secure, maintain, and grow the business
  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
  • Drive learning and ongoing education with direct team and across agency through trend watching and general knowledge management
  • Effectively manage staff utilization to meet profitability targets
  • Foster and maintain relationships with client contacts and internal agency partners
  • Maintain financial responsibility for accounts, including forecasting and account profitability
  • Mentor, coach, and support team members, ensuring constant development of their skills
  • Provide strategic counsel, guidance, and leadership; supervise several staff members; ensure team's success by managing work quality and productivity levels
  • Serve as the “face in the room” for Zeno, engaging with the company’s most senior leadership on programs, results, and problem solving; attend client meetings, brainstorms, and work alongside comms and core client teams
