Deep UX Expertise – A strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to solve real user problems through thoughtful design
Fluency in Design Tools – Highly proficient in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools and know when to use the right one for the job
Analytical Mindset – Synthesize user research, data, and feedback into actionable improvements to make things work beautifully
Communication & Collaboration – Clearly articulate design decisions, balance stakeholder input, and build alignment across teams
Resilience & Maturity – Welcome critique, embrace iteration, and push back when it serves the user experience
Willingness to dive deep into complex domain literature and resources (many thousands of pages), enjoying reading, writing, and critical thinking as well as design

Responsibilities

Master the Domain – Immerse yourself in domain knowledge, decoding industry nuances and user needs to design with precision
Champion the User – Conduct research, uncover pain points, and translate insights into designs that feel second nature; navigate extracting true needs without being misled by surface-level feedback
Design & Prototype Like a Pro – From quick low-fidelity wireframes to polished high-fidelity prototypes, iterate rapidly and validate solutions with real users
Collaborate Across Teams – Partner with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to bring designs to life in an agile, feedback-rich environment
Lead with Impact – Mentor junior designers, advocate for best practices, and push the boundaries of great UX
Deep Domain Understanding: Dive deep into domain literature and resources
User-Centric Design: Conduct user research to understand needs, behaviors, and pain points, translating insights into user-friendly designs while eliciting needs without being misled by conflated solutions
Wireframing and Prototyping: Create detailed wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to propose and iterate on design solutions, starting with fast, low-fidelity wireframes before moving to mockups
