Senior Product Designer

Position Overview

Experian's UX Design team is seeking a talented Senior Product Designer to create innovative and user-centered financial products. You will be instrumental in managing the design and optimization of Experian's consumer-facing web and native financial applications. This role involves close collaboration with Product Directors and Managers, Marketing Analysts, Ecommerce Specialists, and Developers to deliver best-in-class product experiences across our responsive websites and native mobile apps (iOS and Android). You will report to the Senior Product Design Manager.


Daily Life Will Look Like:

  • Project Execution & Mentorship: Execute large-scale and complex design projects, establish and update UX design processes, and mentor junior designers. Provide and solicit feedback to enhance quality.
  • Ecosystem Design: Design within a complex application ecosystem to ensure a consistent, compelling, and engaging customer experience across Experian's responsive websites and native mobile apps.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other business stakeholders on product requirements.
  • Design Deliverables: Create design deliverables and specifications including user journeys, storyboards, interaction models, process flows, information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes, informed by iterative UX research and usability testing.
  • Scalable Solutions: Develop solutions designed for growth and evolution as product functionality, content, and user requirements mature.
  • Usability Testing: Contribute to usability testing efforts through prototyping to ensure all projects are guided by user needs and business outcomes. Translate qualitative and quantitative research data, goals, and requirements into functional designs.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Visual Design, Interaction Design/UX, or a similar field from an accredited four-year university, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience in research, UX, and product design.
  • Portfolio: A solid portfolio demonstrating relevant work is required.
  • Technical Understanding: Understanding of front-end application development as it pertains to design.
  • Product Lifecycle Experience: Experience working in a product organization, driving products from ideation through launch and beyond over multiple releases.
  • Collaboration & Defense: Openness to take direction from design leadership and the ability to defend design choices when necessary.
  • Industry Experience: Experience designing for customer-facing applications in financial, investment, insurance, or related industries.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience working with Figma, Jira, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Methodology Knowledge: Knowledge of service design, design systems, and Agile methodologies.
  • Prototyping Skills: Knowledge of prototyping to understand problems, test concepts, and communicate experiences.
