Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design efforts across responsive web, native mobile, and in-store digital experiences, ensuring seamless cross-platform consistency and delivering best-in-class interactions.
- Act as a design thought partner to senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Experience, shaping customer-facing technology strategies.
- Drive the strategic application of Scout’s brand across all digital touchpoints, ensuring alignment in layout, color theory, typography, tone, and iconography.
- Mentor and guide multidisciplinary designers, fostering a culture of feedback, growth, and collaboration.
- Partner with engineering leads to champion a scalable design system and component strategy.
- Define and uphold design excellence, contributing to best practices, team standards, and frameworks.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, prioritizing and managing multiple complex initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Design Director to shape design culture, processes, and team development.
Requirements
- 7+ years of end-to-end product design experience, with a proven ability to lead design initiatives that deliver meaningful business and customer impact.
- A compelling, polished portfolio showcasing design work.
- Demonstrated ability to lead design efforts across responsive web, native mobile, and in-store digital experiences.
- Experience acting as a design thought partner to senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in driving brand strategy across digital touchpoints.
- Experience mentoring and guiding design teams.
- Experience partnering with engineering leads on design systems.
- Commitment to design excellence and best practices.
- Ability to operate with autonomy and manage multiple initiatives.

Location & Travel Expectations
- Location Type: Remote within the United States.
- Note: This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
- Travel: Occasional in-office attendance for meetings and events is required. Applicants should expect to convene with colleagues in person and travel for company events from time to time.
