The Senior Systems Engineer should have a strong development background and experience with full-stack application environments. They need to be capable of identifying and implementing AI solutions, understanding security lifecycle maintenance, and ensuring third-party applications and operating systems comply with IT technical directions. The role requires the ability to work closely with development and support teams to maintain system uptime, reliability, and security.
The Senior Systems Engineer will lead a team in deploying and updating software applications globally for GM's manufacturing plants. Responsibilities include gathering requirements from plants, configuring applications, testing, and troubleshooting issues. They will also automate repeatable deployment actions using scripting or CI/CD pipelines, validate application functionality with physical systems, provide site-specific business configurations, and coordinate testing with other plant software applications.
