Requirements

Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in systems administration or a related field, deep expertise in Confluence, Jira and Jira Service Management administration, a strong understanding of ITIL best practices and process design principles, excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Jira certifications are preferred, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Knowledge in scripting languages such as Groovy or Python is also preferred.

Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Administrator Engineer will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Jira environment, including designing a scalable data model, establishing a governance structure, creating standard workflow designs and automations, managing users and permissions, managing Jira plugins, automating service desk processes, creating and delivering training materials, assisting with user adoption, serving as a subject matter expert, monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues, implementing best practices for optimization, performing capacity planning and resource allocation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate technical concepts and solutions.
