We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator Engineer with deep expertise in Jira and Jira Service Management to administer, maintain, and optimize our Jira environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Jira & Jira Service Management Administration:
  • Designing a standard, maintainable, and scalable data model for Jira and Jira Service Management, including asset management.
  • Establishing a governance structure and processes for Jira and Jira Service Desk.
  • Creating standard workflow designs and automations for team reuse.
  • Automating IT service desk processes.
  • Managing users, including onboarding, permissions, and access control.
  • Managing Jira Plugins to ensure compliance with security practices, and creating custom plugins when needed.
• Jira Service Management Design:
  • Queue and SLA design and administration.
  • Automation and scripting for service desk processes.
  • Knowledge base management.
  • Customer portal customization.
• System Performance and Optimization:
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting Jira performance issues.
  • Implementing best practices for system optimization.
  • Capacity planning and resource allocation.
• User Support and Training:
  • Serving as a subject matter expert.
  • Developing, testing, and deploying upgrades for Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
  • Creating and delivering training materials and documentation.
  • Assisting with user adoption and change management.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams (development, operations, project management).
  • Clearly communicating technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in systems administration or a related field.
• Deep expertise in Confluence, Jira, and Jira Service Management administration.
• Strong understanding of ITIL best practices and process design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred:
  • Jira certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Knowledge in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python).

Will Be a Plus

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with cloud-based Jira deployments (Atlassian Cloud).
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
