Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, along with 8+ years of software development experience and 3+ years of managing software development teams. They should have 5+ years of hands-on development experience utilizing Python, 5+ years of experience with relational database design, development, and optimization, and working knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure is a plus. Experience with US healthcare is a plus, and familiarity with AI development tools is also desirable.

Responsibilities

As a Manager, Engineering, the individual will lead a cross-functional team creating new experiences to deliver Joy to members, enhance the SaaS solution, scale highly distributed systems, and continuously improve engineering practices. They will guide software engineers through all stages of the product lifecycle, collaborate with product management and design, manage metrics for product delivery and developer performance, recruit and retain engineering talent, coach individual contributors and technical leads, and serve as the conduit between the team and business stakeholders. Furthermore, they will encourage a collaborative environment to deliver high-quality features and champion HealthJoy values within their team, while also addressing technical impediments and providing production support.
